Taking own favorite pictures (Snapshots near the sea.)

In my recent blogs, I wrote and introduced pictures of temples, shrines, events, the specific something.

During my stay near the sea for few days, I took a lot of pictures.
Those are just my favorite thing.

Watching and picking up those pictures, I tried to decide a common theme.
Thinking for few hours, what I realize was it's too difficult to decide it in one.

Today, I will upload my favorite pictures and little explanation. No theme.
I'm glad if there a picture which make you feel happy or fun.

There are lot's of kites near the beach.

When I was high school student, I some times skipped school and came to the beach.
The kites are so quick like NINJA, they sometimes stole my & my friend's snacks.

I think they are cool and beautiful, don't you think so?

They are really hunters. When you are eating snacks like hamburgers and hot dogs, be careful!!

The guardian dogs were wearing a clothes on their heads.
There maybe some kind of meanings to those clothes, but they seemed just cute to me.

The statue of turtle was in this shrine.

The words said "The God, Dragon King". I didn't see dragon here.

Enoden, the tram runs next to the sea, loved by citizens for long times. (Fujisawa / 藤沢 & Kamakura / 鎌倉)

Not so much trams are in Japan.
As Japan is not so large country, it maybe difficult to make loads wide that car and trams both run at same time.

Enoden, which official name is Enoshima electric railways, connects Fujisawa station and Kamakura station.

It's about 30 minutes trip, but there are lots of places to see.
This railways quite famous because the stations and railway is shown and used in movies and dramas in Japan. Even used in comic book, too. (I have introduced "Slum Dunk".)

This time, I walked from Enoshima station to Kamakura Koukou mae station.
It is about 1.5km, took about an hour swinging to some temples.

This cross load is near the temple called "Ryu Kou ji".
I took some of picture, so I will introduce in later blog.

The train with lots of pictures drawn came!!

I found fish shop near the Koshigoe station.
Not only fresh fish, cooked fishes were in the shop window.

These are fried fishes.

Roasted fishes!!

These seems and absolutely matches rice.
I bought one fry and ate near the beach.

Few minutes walk, train comes out next to the beach.

Few minutes walk took me to Kamakura koukou mae station.

Enoden runs really near the people and cars.
I met surfer going back to home. As child sheet was on the bicycle, he must be somebody's father.

There are more and more beautiful places in the railroad of Enoden.
I will visit there soon and show it to you again.

When your are stuck, it is good thing to see the sea. (Place which used in "Slam Dunk" the comic in Japan / Enoshima island, Fujisawa city)

When I was high school student, I lived near the sea.
I used to go to there when I was stuck with something.

Enoshima island is located in Fujisawa city, it is famous place for sightseeing.
Fujisawa is placed next to Kamakura, and lot of people comes in summer time.

This place is also become famous which used in the comic in Japan, "SlumDunk."

In the article of news programs, I heard that lots of visitors from Asian countries are coming to here who read this comic.

As this place is quite far from the airport, I thought the article is little dramaful.
I went back there and knew it was not overblown. There were a lot of people!!

I become grad that my hometown become little famous.

"Slum Dunk" is one of my favorite comic book, and went through them to remember this place.

I got two more places which I likes to go.

They are near to Enoshima island.

At the end of the story, Sakuragi Hanamichi, the main character of the comic is reading a letter at the beach. The rival, Rukawa Kaede, comes and shows his uniform which written "Japan".

(He Rukawa become representation of Japan.)

The shapes of tower in the island changed, but we still can see the same sight there.

It become warm, so it is good season to visit here.

O inari san in Kamakura (Sasuke inari shrine / 佐助稲荷, Kamakura / 鎌倉) vol.3

You will see a lot of Torii, the gates to the shrine, and banner flags here in Sasuke inari shrine.

In the ancient Japan, the color red is treated as sacred and valuable color.
There are several meanings to this color.

It is thought as a color which beats the evil.
And it is thought that get rid of rats, birds and insects which damages farm crops.
To color the Torii, ancient Japanese used mercury and become red.
Mercury have effects to the insects, so it was not just a saying.

I got a question why foxes wearing red clothes.

The person who gave me a question knew several things about Japanese culture.

He asked me "Jizo (the small standing budda statue in the streets) is wearing red clothes, too and is it same meanning? He also knew the meaning of red clothes, too. People prays for children's health to Jizo, and let them wear red clothes.

The meaning of clothes for foxes in shrines are same as Jizo.

O inari san's favorite food is Inari sushi.

Inari sushi is also called "O inari san" in Japanese. I didn't know why they are called same.

I would like to research about this sushi soon.

I recommend to go to Zeni arai benten shrine.

There are small booth there and inside, you can eat little sweet delicious Inari sushi and Great Budda beer.

Go through the red tunnel, and have a tasty Inari sushi!

O inari san in Kamakura (Sasuke inari shrine / 佐助稲荷, Kamakura / 鎌倉) vol.2

As Sasuke inari has its long history, there are many kinds of foxes.

There might be the trends or popular designer in each era.

There are quite difference in the shapes of their tail, expression on their face, and shape of their body.

Sometimes wearing a cloth in red.

These two had characteristic faces.

I will write about the road entering the shrine next time.

It looks like  red tunnel.
